THE FARM “TERRE DEL FAVONIO”
Between the sea, wind, and sun, Terre del Favonio comes to life.
A farm in perfect harmony with nature, where every action reflects care, and
every product embodies a deep connection to the land.
We cultivate with passion, respecting natural cycles and honoring the gifts the earth provides.
From our land, with gratitude
Our olive groves, with 2,500 trees of the native Trapani cultivars Biancolilla, Cerasuola, and Nocellara, stretch toward the sea. The olives are hand-picked early, carefully transported in small crates, and milled within hours in our own oil mill. This meticulous process allows us to produce an exceptional olive oil, rich in the distinctive aromas of our land.
On our arable lands, we cultivate ancient Sicilian durum wheat varieties—Margarito, Perciasacchi, Russello, and Tumminia—which we use to create fine flours and our traditional wholegrain Busiate, the signature pasta of the region.
Our sea-facing vineyard is home to 82 rows of native grape varieties: Grillo, Catarratto, and Frappato. In the cellar, we respect the natural rhythms of the grapes, allowing spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts to tell the true story of our terroir.
Among our terraced fields, where centuries-old carob trees and ancient wild olives stand, there are figs, prickly pears, almonds, and pomegranates. Our garden is a treasure trove of vegetables—cherry tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, zucchinis, pumpkins, red onions, fresh salads, and aromatic herbs.
Wild plants, vital to the ecosystem’s balance, grow freely until flowering.
As their cycle concludes, they are cut and left to decompose, nourishing and protecting the soil.
When nature is allowed to thrive freely and find balance, it returns abundance.
With enthusiasm and gratitude, we share with the guests the fruits of our land, cultivated with care and respect. We look forward to welcoming you on TERREDELFAVONIO.IT
